Hospitality Marketing – An innovative approach
The excitement of Durga Puja arrives in many shapes and forms – we, at MYNDROOT, a leading advertisement agency in Eastern India that dabbles in both creative advertising and digital marketing, were commissioned with a culinary promotion project for our client Mohor Kutir, an esteemed brand in the hospitality sector providing a premium quality vacation experience in the cradle of nature at Santiniketan in West Bengal. Through all-year-round campaigns which are parts of brand communication and brand management strategies, where we advertise Mohor Kutir’s rooms, interiors, high-end facilities, and amenities, the client has successfully garnered satisfactory results. Now, with the arrival of the festive Durga Puja season, we decided to battle it out against hunger, an indelible part of every earthling’s life!
The result was out in the form of a concept campaign where we handpicked a few specialty dishes available at Mohor Kutir and re-imagined Mohor Kutir’s in-house restaurant Panchmeshali’s delectable food menu as an array of weapons to fight the demons of hunger. Thus, aligning the same concept with the festive days of Durga Puja, an assortment of prawns became the trident, a shoal of Pabda fishes came to be the many-budded lotus; Alu Posto – a beloved Bengali delicacy got sharpened to hold the shape of an axe and a healthy chunk of mutton became the feared club, while the sweet and juicy Rasamalai came to be the Goddess’s shield!
We were pretty sure that connoisseurs would honestly appreciate the art and the allure of the food campaign has garnered positive responses from our client’s target audience, encouraging us to further innovate in our future endeavors.
For other industries too, we have successfully planned and executed campaigns specific to the festive Durga Puja season: For Rangoli, a premier ethnic wear brand, we implemented a “Share your Pujo Look” campaign.
